3 Glastonbury
Glastonbury, one of Europe’s most popular festivals, turns 55 this year. Held in the village of the same name in Somerset in the UK, the festival was founded by farmer Michael Eavis as a multidisciplinary event where, in addition to music, there was space for theatre, comedy and even cabaret. Honouring the festival’s collaborative and sustainable spirit since its origins, Greenpeace, Oxfam and WaterAid UK are among its participants.
