Spain Travel Awards are launched

The brand-new Spain Travel Awards were launched in 2025 with the aim of recognising the good work of Spain’s tourism industry from different perspectives, from hospitality to publishing, nightlife to gastronomy and transport, celebrating the sector’s innovation, companies and media. The first edition of the Spain Travel Awards will take place at Teatro Albéniz in Madrid on 1 December.

The initiative, promoted by Raúl and Rubén Gómez, communication, event organisation and PR professionals with more than 25 years of experience, has brought together a jury of 10 national experts, who are highly qualified in fields such as tourism, luxury, culture and art. They will be tasked with choosing the winners in 20 categories, such as Best Luxury Hotel, Best Bed in Spain and Best Travel Magazine, a category in which Iberia’s Ronda magazine is a finalist.

There are also four special awards, already announced: the Sustainability Award, in which Valencia has been recognised as a European Green City, and the Centenary Space Award, with Casa Duque Restaurante as the winner. Madrid is awarded the title of Unique Destination and Pablo Alborán, the Best Ambassador for Spain.

Teatro Albéniz theatre, located in the UMusic Hotel Madrid, will host the most influential personalities in Spain’s tourism sector on 1 December for the awards ceremony. The event is supported by the Delegate Area of Tourism of the Madrid City Council, the Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Community of Madrid, the Tourism Institute of Spain (Turespaña), the City of Malaga and Holafly, one of the most disruptive tourism platforms in recent years.
