Solidarity concerts with Sergio Feferovich

The Anesvad Foundation and Sergio Feferovich present La Música de las Ideas. Two concerts, to be held in Madrid and Bilbao, will help to raise awareness of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

Conductor Sergio Feferovich, a pianist with a PhD in Music from Johns Hopkins University, returns to Spain from Argentina with his show La Música de las Ideas, to be performed in two solidarity concerts in collaboration with the Anesvad Foundation. The performances will take place at the Sociedad Filarmónica de Bilbao on 26 November and in the Hall of Columns of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid on 28 November.

The shows combine Feferovich’s profound musical knowledge with his charisma to explore how moods and life experiences influence the creation of ideas and how music can change the world. The extensive repertoire included in the concerts – which also feature touches of humour – is not usually announced in the programme notes, but the audience can expect to be taken on a musical journey that includes works from Bach to Mozart and even the Beatles.

The two events have been organised in collaboration with the Anesvad Foundation, which has been working for more than 50 years to guarantee access to health services for people living in impoverished communities around the world. In this case, it seeks to help the most vulnerable people who are forgotten sufferers of neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), especially in the Sub-Saharan African area. For those who wish to participate in this initiative – even if they are unable to attend the concerts – the Anesvad Foundation has organised a Solidarity Queue, where it is possible to contribute financially to the project.
